2010 Muzzle Loader Day 1 Recap

Day 1 was filled with activity nearly all day. The morning had no wind then a east breeze in the afternoon. I saw five bucks including one which shed his horns already, 2 spikes, a modest 8, and a tall 8 which I passed on. He seemed young; his rack was thin for the impressive width and hight. Hopefully we'll get a look at him next year. I believe he will mature into the "shooter" catergory in 2011.

All settled in for Day 2. A bit more breezy and 13 degrees. The long lake ice is growling, reminding me it time to get hunting!
