Fishing Opener Recap

To say Opening Weekend was Windy is an understatement. Both days were crazy with wind gusts on Saturday over 35mph. It was mind over matter and the weather was very hard on equipment and the body. Boat control seemed like a full time job. I fished Saturday and Sunday for total of 16 hours.

Was a great to get reacquainted with the Flambeau Flowage on Sunday. Water level was very low.

Total fish Count for the weekend was 51 Walleyes, 10 Crappies, 17 Pike and 3 Smallmouth Bass. The biggest fish of the weekend was a 34" northern pike to start out Sunday morning.

Even after the wind burn and a sore back it was all worth it.
